So I was casually looking at the screenshots of the new Black2/White2 games when I noticed this image:
So I thought to myself: "Who WOULD win based on the pokemon shown in the screenshot?" And then I started thinking from there assuming both players have no counter-team measures, both players don't use extremely weird strategies (Ex: Hidden Power Fire Lapras with sun-support from Arcanine), all pokemon had standard EV spreads (Bold MaxDef Lapras, Jolly MaxAtk Arcanine, virtually any viable physicaly-based Tyranitar, Jolly MaxAtk Weavile) and there are no Critical hits/Multi-protects/Missed Attacks:
Trial 1: Both players press random crap
Result: Match goes either way
Trial 2: Both players spam their STAB move at the pokemon opposite of eachother
Result: Weavile is killed by Arcanine's flare blitz on the first turn. Lapras loses more than half it's health from Ttar's stone edge. Ttar loses about a third of it's health from lapras's hydropump. Arcanine's health is left in the red from all the residual damage. Ttar takes a small amount of damage from Arcanine's flare blitz then dies from recoil/sandstorm and Ttar kills Lapras and PLAYER 2 WINS.
Trial 3: Both players try to use super effective moves and targeting to their advantage
Result: PLAYER 1 WINS because Arcanine kills off the biggest threat: Ttar with close combat leaving the fragile Weavile to be killed by Lapras if Arcanine isn't finished off already.
Analysis:
Player 1 (Clashing but decent team members from a competitive perspective, most likely Average battler)
Pokemon consists of an Arcanine and a Lapras. With the situation being a double battle, Lapras are more often than not, Hydration sets with Rest and rain support. Arcanine is put at a huge disadvantage when used on a rain team so we can conclude that there wont be any Rain going on in Player 1's team, making Lapras pretty useless in this situation with it's only advantage as getting normally-effective water move on a spDef boosted from the sand T-tar
Player 2 (Cooperative pokemon roles, most likely may use an advanced strategy to cover up fighting weakness, most likely an Advanced battler that uses high-risk strategies)
Pokemon are much more cooperative in their standard double-battle roles (Ttar being a powerhouse with added residual damage with the sandstorm, but both have a 4x weakness to fighting moves
TO BE CONTINUED WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT. GOING TO GO PLAY CALL OF DUTY NOW. BYE.

ABSOLUTE BASIC LEVELS OF BATTLING
Battling on a Typical Parent/Horrible AI skill level(The "How do I play?")
Trial 1: Both players press random crap
Result: Match goes either way
Battling on "Small Child's" skill level(Brute forcing it)
Trial 2: Both players spam their STAB move at the pokemon opposite of eachother

Battling on Average skill level(The common player)

Result: PLAYER 1 WINS because Arcanine kills off the biggest threat: Ttar with close combat leaving the fragile Weavile to be killed by Lapras if Arcanine isn't finished off already.
