I'm hoping that here we can document some technicalities of the void, like why what is loaded where, etc. I hope to find a way to obtain Arceus through this, but this is what I know: -Spear Pillar has 2 maps, one without the staircase, one with it. -I'm guessing that the Arceus is actually on the map without the staircase, and that the even makes one. (or the map switches during the event)
I have been looking around at the DS map editor "SDSME" and it seems that the thing we referred to as Centerpiece, is actually the matrix in this editor. Also using the map editor, it is easier to find patterns to tweak, and possibly new voids.
The main point I hope to have here, is finding info, like addresses in memory, or ROM where it actually loads data, or why it does stuff (like why is floroma meadows loaded north of poketch co.?)

Hi
Where are the area values stored in RAM? This interests me, perhaps we can figure out where it pulls the random data from

I hope to find a way to obtain Arceus through this But isn't Arceus already proved to be flagged? I've read that the flag is needed for the battle against Arceus to begin. But we've been inside the real HoO through warp cheating (or just savefile hacking), and Arceus can't be battled if the event flag isn't triggered.

I feel like there is a slight possibility that map 22 (spear pillar) contains arceus high up in the air, and that map 510 (HoO) is just for after battling him (if the stairs stay... I cant remember) It still might be unlikely, but I feel we can learn more, and find more exploitations if we find where it pulls data from. like... why is fake sinnoh fake sinnoh? Yeah it pulls the graphics, but not the collision? It might seem more unlikely, but maybe through a glitch, we can obtain azure flute

You're right about the existence of two Spear Pillars (220 and 221). But just like the second Hall of Origin, coined as SPHoO (511), it's completely useless and has no scripts/warps whatsoever. Even if for some miracle we found Arceus in these two areas, we'd be unable to leave since there are no working warps and we'd be trapped forever. The only place holds the smallest possibility for fighting Arceus is the real Hall of Origin (510). But it hasn't been found in the Void, and no way has been found to battle him either. So all this search is completely pointless.
To fully clarify:
- Spear Pillar (220) and Hall of Origin (510) are completely different areas. When you play the flute, it's not the staircase that suddenly appears. You're entirely teleported to a completely different area.
- The Azure Flute item is completely useless, because you can't play it without the event enabled, but you can play it if you don't have it but the event is enabled.
- Their "alternatives" areas (221, 511) are completely useless, and there's nothing within, not even a way to leave. They shouldn't be even considered in an Arceus hunt.

Alright, I understand that a bit better. I'm starting to wonder about the delivery man now... I might poke around in the RAM a bit, because I want to know how the game decides what to load when you do the poketch company void, and go north or west. (this might also explain why it freezes when going east?) Also... I thought that since sometimes refreshing the graphics might free up some collision, would it be beneficial to set the town map or something as Y, so it can be used to refresh in mystery zone? (not for saving or anything)
Edit: it appears that adding 0x2FD9A to the 32 bit value at 0x21c4d28 in pokemon diamond US is the start of the matrix for the current map. Basically, this is the grid of what map you are on, and what map you will be on if you move. a lot of buildings are just a single map, so the grid for that is 1x1. The overworld is 30x30 maps. Using this address, you can see why it loads floroma meadows, the 2 bytes before it are 0101, (which are the matrix dimentions) which is 257, and that is floroma. now to see if we can get it to a useful address...

There are as many voids as there are buildings. You can use the technique referred to as "ghosting" to enter them (lol ghosts).

Ok so I started tweaking again and am on the way to darkrai when I realised that I haven't got someone with fly or teleport. So will the sailor be at the dock and I can ride that home or should I find jubilife city witg the right music and get back like that?
