I read that bag eggs can be created from illegal movesets. This led me to wonder, can the pomeg glitch be used to assist this? Say I have an egg, and I use the glitch to battle with it. I level it up, and it learns some moves. When the egg hatches, it will be set to level 5, but keep the moves. Will the game recognize this as an illegal moveset? The main goal is to get missingno in this game without AR, and I think a bad egg is the way to start. Ideas?

Lol that's not how Bad EGGs work.

will that atleast still give me a bad egg? or is there another method to get one/ a decamark? I know you can't palpark decamark, but someone managed to palpark a smeargle with a sketched move from a decamark. When used in 4th gen, it had some interesting effects, like deleting the 2nd move on the pokemon using it. I'm thinking that with some of the glitchy natures of these moves (I know a lot of them freeze the game) that maybe there is one to get missingno in 4th gen legitimately, or better yet, a gen 4 hybrid. What if there is an off chance that we find a move which can alter the flag for arceus?

They're caused by checksum fail, savefile corruption, broken cheat codes, etc. I don't know any legit way to obtain one. The easiest one I know (though it needs cheating) is using a Gameshark code to create a certain Pokémon in your box without enabling the Anti-DMA code first (or was it the Master code?). But that can also create a permanent corrupted spot that'll always turn any pokémon into a Bad EGG, or corrupt the whole PC so your deposited Pokémon will be lost forever. These Bad EGGs however, are usually stable and have the moveset from the Pokémon that was supposed to be generated.
Other Bad EGGs however, who doesn't have an specific origin, tend to have a heavily corrupted moveset, causing graphics corruption, instant resets, freezes, etc. Some of them just by being in your party makes your game unsavable (it says your flash memory is incompatible or something, even on emulator), and other creates some kind of ZZAZZ glitch, messing up all the sprits and even making you become that "unused fat guy" upon riding a bike. To obtain these "special" Bad EGGs however, you have to capture a decamark (R/S only) while having less than 6 pokés in your party, make it lead your team and access the "hidden part of the party". It's very easy to have your game getting frozen from there, so you have to do everything fast, and preferably use savestates. You can find several Bad EGGs and decamarks (even some with hundreds of HP and with the level above 100). It was really fun to explore that.

I'm guessing as of right now, my only hope without AR is to try for save corruption?

Random corruption is more likely to erase the savefile itself rather than just the Pokémon data.

It's a fun glitch alright, but I doubt that it will get you very far. There is only one notable effect of the glitch discovered so far, and I wasn't even the one to find it. :3 www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rz7Nq04pFMIn Emerald, the seventh Pokemon causes glitchy graphical effects, but it doesn't result in anything substantial. All glitch effects vanish after the battle. I wish you good luck, but the possibility of obtaining a permanent Bad EGG from the glitch is minimal indeed.
