VaeporSageThis thread is for ideas, additions and recruits for the little-known but unfinished Pomeg Glitch. Basically, you need-
1. A Pokemon that has leveled up 35+ times, and has about 10[+?] HP EVs. 2. 1+ Pomeg Berries
Use HP Ups until your HP has grown by 2 or more. Then, get your Pokemon to 1 HP from here. I find that the best way is fishing up a Tentacool with your Old Rod, getting Poisoned, and running around until you hit the magic 1HP. Then, use a Pomeg Berry on your Pokemon.
If you have done this properly, your Pokemon's HP level reads, "?35," in other words, 65535, one digit off of 65536, the number of bytes the game holds. (The one digit off represents 0, IIRC).
This is where the fun starts. From here, you can do a multitude of cool stuff, like battling with EGGs, battling with a ? [Placeholder Pokemon in 00], sending out your opponent's Pokemon, the easy Voodoo sub-glitch, etc. But this is not nearly all! We have not yet properly experimented with this glitch, and there is far more to be found! With a bit of help, we could discover much about this glitch not yet known!
Ideas I have for Pomeg Projects:
-Using the EGG sub-glitch on a BAD EGG. That could produce some VERY interesting results.
-Currently, I have a ?35'd Pokemon Poisoned. When you run around, it simply goes from ?28 to ?27, as an example. I intend to reduce its health to 0 eventually, and note the effects.
-I have Pokemon Box: Ruby & Sapphire, so if you think anything interesting involving both Box & Pomegging, let me know. (Putting stuff in Box heals them, so that's out of the question, btw.) That reminds me, I have used the EGG sub-glitch on the Box event EGGs, just ftr. It works, and strangely, the EGGs gain "a boosted" EXP.
-Using the ? sub-glitch with 6 Pokemon. If you didn't know, ? counts as an extra Pokemon in your party, so I'd like to see what 7 Pokes in one party would look like.
If any of you have any more potential projects, I'll be happy to try them. We really have to think outside of the box here with this one.

Zowayix This is why:
The Pokemon must have enough HP EVs and have a high enough HP stat so that their HP will drop by two points after using a Pomeg Berry. When it drops by 2 points, it goes from 1 to -1, or 65535 as the game interprets it. If it doesn't have enough HP EVs and its stat isn't high enough, their HP will only drop by one point, going from 1 to 0. Interestingly, if it is the only Pokemon you have, you will not white out, however, if you enter battle, you will lose on the first turn.

FireElectricEarth When I did this to my blaziken; when it was in battle it was effectively healed with a bonus 95 hp because when the hp bar was (or should have been) empty it then reset and went back to normal. the hp in battle read '?95' and out of battle it was '?35'. That was the only abnormality (appart from the status bar dissapearing occasionally) that i observed when the glitch was in effect. VaeporSage, would you be able to explain the possible glitches better so that people who want to muck around with it will understand how to trigger them?

VaeporSage Sorry, dude, I simply can't explain things well. You'd be better off going to the Serebii Pomeg threads if you want to find out how to do stuff. However, I'll explain my sub-glitch again:
Your battle style must be "switch" for this to work.
1. Have only two ?35'd Pokemon in your party. 2. Heal them with Potion-like items e.g. Max Potion, Super Potion etc. 3. If they are both fainted, enter a trainer battle. 4.Revive the second Pokemon. 5. It should say that your opponent is sending out your Pokemon and asks you if you would like to switch. 6.Say yes. 7. Press B without sending out a Pokemon.
If you did it right, you send out whatever Pokemon your opponent has.

Zowayix Let me see if I have this right:
1. Use the Pomeg Glitch on the only 2 Pokemon so their HP are both 65535. 2. Use Potions etc. on them. <--What happens here? Do they faint? 3. You should now be walking around with 2 fainted Pokemon.*** 4. Enter a trainer battle and send out your first 0 HP Pokemon. 5. Use a Revive on your second 0 HP Pokemon.
***If the bolded part in Step 2 works, then you don't need 65535 HP. You only need to get its HP to 0 without whiting out (see my previous post).

VaeporSage At least one Pokemon needs ?35 beforehand, so I just put it down because of that. And yes, they faint, but that's implied WHEN you perform the glitch.
On a side note, has this worked for anyone yet? [My sub-glitch, that is]
EDIT: Zowayix, you're right, so long as they're fainted, it doesn't matter how.

VaeporSage (I know it's double posting, but it's a completely new topic)
Upon borrowing my friend's GBA, I have been able to uncover some new stuff about the Pomeg Glitch. Read on.
-FR/LG: I haven't explored this yet, but from a glance, it seems to be identical to Emerald. HP is still ?35, that's all I really know at the moment.
-R/S: Here, your HP levels are displayed, i.e. 45876 instead of ?76. When you heal a ?35'd Pokemon here, it goes back to original full HP, for example, when your HP was 65535/243, it will go to 243/243, meaning you can't really perform ANY sub-glitches in R/S. :C
Also, when I traded a Kadabra EGG to LG, (Kadabra EGG being an evolved Abra EGG) it evolved. Directly before evolving, interestingly, EGG's cry showed up in the speakers. I really wasn't paying much attention, but it sounded to me like a load of glitched fuzz. I'm pretty sure Alakazam's cry turned out pretty weird, too.
Through common sense and a good 20 minutes of waiting, I have discovered that you cannot "battle infinitely" with the Pomeg Glitch. The common sense is that 65535 is not an infinite number.

FireElectricEarth One thing I forgot to mention in my previous post was that I was using diamond (not sure if it makes any diference) also veaporsage, your description of sending out the opponents pokemon was what I was asking for; and you didn't do too bad a job of it either. If someone could explain the other glitches in this manner it would be great.

VaeporSage I haven't looked into D/P/Pt on this yet.... Does my sub-glitch work in 4th Gen? If it does, that would be fantastic!
Here's the EGG sub-glitch for you, FireElectricEarth:
1.Have one Pokemon in your party that was fainted by a Pomeg berry. 2.Put an EGG in the first slot of your party. 3.Enter any battle, and EGG comes out. Memento Bases are brilliant for levelling up your EGGs, I have 4 of them! FTR, Memento Bases are Secret Bases that have 6 Pokemon (generally Lv.100) that only know Memento. I use Latioses.

VaeporSage (Agin, it's double posting, but it's a giant discovery for me!)
Today, when fooling around in LG with the Pomeg Glitch, I FOUND MY VERY OWN GLITCH POKEMON!
OK, admittedly, it isn't THAT great, but we're gonna have to inform all those glitch websites about this one anyway.
So, I performed my sub-glitch (Can someone name it? It's sort of getting annoying calling it "my sub-glitch") i.e. Reviving, sending out, press B, so on. I did so hoping to send out my opponent's Ekans, but instead I found this Boean-ish type character! It's called [without accents] oE {e Ai, and its animation "freezes" the game. It looks pretty much exactly like Boean.
Even better, there may even be more Glitch Pokemon to come with different trainers!
EDIT: I have tried several other trainers only to find that oE {e Ai appeared with every one. Still, a glitch is a glitch!

VaeporSage [Whenever I make a new discovery, I may have to double post, sorry mods!]
Here's a stupid little pointless but somewhat interesting sub-glitch:
1. Faint an EGG in battle. 2. End the battle. 3. Have the EGG and another Pokemon fainted without whiting out. 4. Use Sacred Ash. (I got mine from Pokemon XD: Gale Of Darkness)
Your EGG's HP total goes to full, (displayed) and its level is also temporarily shown. As I said, it's pointless, as level and HP are both displayed BEFORE you faint it in the first place, but it goes to show how versatile the Pomeg Glitch is!

Zowayix
Cool! I wish I could discover some glitches on my own without any guides...
Can you figure out why B oE {e Ai was sent out instead of the opponent's Pokemon?

FireElectricEarth I'll do some more mucking around with this glitch in daimond and see what happens. BTW VaeporSage, you didn't mention that you where using a different game, so I just assumed you meant one of the 4th gens; are you using Emerald?

VaeporSage @fireelectricearth: I am using Emerald, LeafGreen and Sapphire. (And planning to test Colosseum, but it most likely won't work) I can't use any 4th Gen game at the moment because the top screen of my DS is broken. Of course FireElectricEarth, it certainly would be brilliant if you could mess around in Diamond.
zowayix: I'd imagine it just has more unused data than Emerald, as Emerald seems to struggle to find data somewhere, and it finds it in the opponent's Pokemon, whereas I guess FR/LG CAN manufacture a load of glitchy randomness, I suppose.
And BTW, I've found yet another cool use for this glitch. Put a Pokemon with Softboiled or Milk Drink at ?35, and using Softboiled or Milk Drink after each Elite Four battle, you'll save a fortune on Max Potions and stuff.

FireElectricEarth I did a google on this one and every where I look (including Bulbapedia) everyone seems to think that this is an emerald exclusive glitch; yet it works perfectly in diamond and Veapor sage, you say that you've been doing it in LG & saphire?
EDIT:this is just a theory but would it be possible that the reason the pomeg glitch worked in gen 4 for me was because my blaziken was from Emerald originally? I somehow doubt it but you have to consider all possibilities. I will test this theory on one of my non migrated pokemon when I get time.

balphy He traded a 65535 hp Pokémon to those games. Diamond, no it doesn't work.

FireElectricEarth
Actually, the pomeg berry was given to my blaziken in Diamond not Emerald but previous to that it was migrated from my Emerald game. It was hatched from an egg in Emerald and trained to level 49 in Diamond.

VaeporSage @fireelectricearth: It works in R/S/FR/LG because you can trade Pokemon to those games without the game healing them. It wouldn't make sense for ONLY migrated Pokemon to be Pomeg-able, so long as it met the criteria of going to ?35, I don't know if it's any different in 4th Gen. In regards to the websites you searched, this isn't a fully investigated glitch and people just take what they're given in terms of information. If it has worked previously for you, there is no reason to state otherwise. Fixing those websites is another reason why I launched this thread.
I have some moar idears for yoo. If you send out a 0 HP Pokemon and throw a Poke Ball (skipping your turn) and your opponent uses Endeavor or Pain Split, what would happen?
Even better, how about ?35 and your opponent uses Pain Split? I'm thinking that could put your opponent at a ? HP level as well!
EDIT: I'm also considering the benefits of sending out your opponent's Pokemon [my sub-glitch, hehe] if it's a LV.99- Pokemon that only knows Memento. What will happen if "your opponent's Pokemon" gains EXP under your command?
